Fourbucks Coffee > Christian Writers Guild

I'm condisering their course, but I'd like to know if anyone has had any experience with this group.

Their homepage is here: http://www.christianwritersguild.com/

Roy, I looked at the site and I can't say if it's worthwhile or not. I'm not sure what you're looking for.

I have found that the conference I attended this year in Tucson for Catholic Writers was valueable, so I recommend the experience (although it didn't help me except to learn why my stories keep getting rejected).

If you need help learning to write to publish, this group could be useful and it doesn't cost too much to find out. The competition is incredibly fierce in all these venues. No one makes a living from writing for these magazines and publishers (except the occasional hit).

Also, there are many list/serve groups for Christian Writers. You might find some and query them about this group.

Have you considered submitting some material to RELEVANT magazine at http://www.relevantmagazine.com for publication? Their writer's guidelines are at http://www.relevantmagazine.com/guidelines.php

They don't pay anything for stuff they print online, but it's a good way to reach a wider audience. They do pay for stuff they print in their magazine, tho.

I tried to find out some opinions about the Christians Writers Guild also but found none. I weighed the options, pros and cons... Then went ahead and signed up. I respect the writings of many of the involved people so figured it was a better chance than say, Vegas! Let me know if you decide to take the plunge.
