On This Day In History Department

1525 - The first baptisms of the Anabaptists were performed by the Swiss separatists Conrad Grebel and Felix Manz. The men were originally friends of Ulrich Zwingli in Zurich but broke with him when the pace of reforms did not meet their expectations.
