Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 10:03AM According to Brian Cooley over at ZDNet, "Downloadable ring tones will be a $300 million dollar business in the United States this year--double what it was last year and still the smallest ring tone market in the world. "
Got that? People shelled out $150 million last year, and it's looking like they'll do double that this year, just to change the sound their cellphone makes when it rings. And we're pikers when compared to Europe or Japan.
